ECCS European Steel Bridges Award 2010 – Call for entries

The European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS) is inviting entries for the 2010 European Steel Bridges Award.
Presented every two years, the objective of these Awards is to give recognition to outstanding steel and composite bridges emphasizing the advantages of steel in construction, production, economy and architecture. The Awards are open to steel and composite bridges whose steel structures were fabricated in the ECCS member countries. The constructions must have been completed and be ready for use within the last two years, in the period between the 31st May 2008 and the 31st May 2010. Previous entries are not egligible.
Awards categories include: road and railway bridges, footbridges, refurbishment of existing bridge.
The Awards will be presented during the International Symposium on „Steel Structures, Culture and Sustainability“ in Istanbul, Turkey on 22nd September 2010.
Entries have to be sent to the organising association TUSCA by 15th March 2010.
