Other steels for pressure-vessel, boiler and mechanical engineering

Dillinger Hütte GTS supplies modern CrMo and CrMo(V) steels for construction of petrochemicals reactors, with their demanding specifications. DIBOR is a heat-treatable boron-alloyed steel for achievement of maximum wear-resistance in mechanical engineering. Our P420M HT steel is used to meet additional temperature-resistance requirements in the same field. This is a thermomechanically rolled fine-grained steel with a minimum yield strength of 420 MPa in the lowest thickness range. DICLADUR is a clad steel that is also tailored for use in mechanical engineering, consisting of a conventional steel as the parent substrate and a corrosion-resistant and/or wear-resistant cladding material. DISAFE, with its optimum shaping and forming properties, has been specially developed for the fabrication of safes and strongboxes. All these steels are also notable for the good workability typical of Dillinger Hütte GTS heavy plate materials. The following overviews provide information on the relevant materials characteristics data.
