Heavy plate for mould-making
Heavy plate is a particularly cost-effective material for moulds for plastics and cast-concrete production, and achieves exceptionally high quality - provided the plate can be supplied in the large thicknesses necessary, a special Dillinger Hütte GTS capability.
Even the most demanding mould-surface specifications can be met using Dillinger Hütte GTS heavy plate.
Our DIMO branded steels, which have been specifically developed for plastics moulds, incorporate not only the necessary plate thickness, they also have very special workability and service properties, including optimum suitability for eroding and polishing, combined with exceptionally high geometrical stability. They are also outstandingly suitable for mould accessories, such as frames, slats, clamp plates and ejector plates, and also for mould holder blocks.
For cast-concrete moulds, Dillinger Hütte GTS supplies a broad range of steels known for their special wear-resistance and fatigue strength including, for example, case-hardenable grades.
