A dip tank for giants
The galvanizing of components of more than 19 m in length has now become possible.: in the Siegener Verzinkerei Holding in Germany. It has installed Germany‘s biggest galvanizing pot. The plates from which the pot was built where supplied by Dillinger Hütte GTS: 70 tons of heavy plates in 50 mm plate thickness, 4 m plate width and 8.5 m plate length. Thanks to this new facility the galvanizing of big components becomes less compicated and cheaper, constructing becomes easier. Moereover the entire facility with filtration plant and heath recovery actively contributes to environmental protection.
