DICREST separates gas from oil in Saudi Arabia
A major portion of the new plant erected in Haradh, Saudi Arabia, for separation of crude oil, gas and seawater from one another after production consists of DICREST, Dillinger Hütte GTS's sour-gas-resistant steel. The central element in this facility is a gigantic high-pressure separator with a length of 53 meters, a diameter of 7.3 meters, and a weight of 464 tonnes.
A total of 760 tonnes of DICREST heavy plate was supplied. On-time delivery from Dillingen made a major contribution to achieving a record construction time of only twenty-one months for this Saudi-Aramco-operated plant.
