The proprietary steel for fast, cost-efficient construction

Our thermomechanical proprietary steel will significantly boost your cost-effectiveness wherever you have used conventional structural steels up to now.

The strengths of DI-MC proprietary steel

  • DI-MC has mechanical properties orientated around EN 10025, Part 4. Its chemical composition, working properties and weldability are superior to those specified in this standard, however, as a result, for example, of significantly reduced carbon equivalents.
  • Customers can choose between three strength classes of differing minimum yield strengths: DI‑MC 355, DI‑MC 460 as well as for hydropower applications DI-MC 690.
  • Dillinger can supply depending on the grade DI-MC proprietary steels in record formats and dimensions, with plate thicknesses of up to 170 mm and plate weights of up to 42 t, making it one of the thickest and the heaviest thermomechanical plate materials available anywhere in the world.
  • Some DI-MC proprietary steels can also be optionally ordered with constant strength properties across plate thickness.
