Pressure vessels for sour-gas service make very special demands on steel quality. Only ultra-high cleanness and homogeneity assure constant protection against hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC).

The strengths of DICREST proprietary steel

DICREST has been developed and optimised for use in sour-gas-resistant pressure vessels. A specially controlled casting and rolling process, combined with concluding normalising and stress-relieving annealing after production, ensure resistance to HIC throughout the plate.
We supply DICREST in four HIC-resistance levels – DICREST 5, DICREST 10, DICREST 15 and DICREST PLUS, all of them in large plate thicknesses.
DICREST naturally fulfils the Requirements for Standardised Boiler and Pressure-Vessel Steels: ASME SA516 Grade 60, 65 and 70, P275 NH, NL1 and NL2, and P355 N, NH, NL1 and NL2.
We can also meet your own demanding specifications.
DICREST comes to you with the security assured by its global references.
Other pressure-vessel steels can also be supplied to DICREST standards on agreement, including SA537 Cl 1, for example, or a sour-gas-resistant TM steel for tank construction in accordance with the DI-TANK specifications.
