Dillinger is one of the largest training employers in our region, and hosts several hundred trainees and interns every year. In addition, there are also students from the University for Technology and Economy (HTW) in Saarbrücken and the Saarland University, who undertake a sandwich course with us to attain their university degrees.
The individual furtherance of our employees is one of the most important guiding principles of our company. Our continuous further-training provisions and active training strategies enable every employee to develop continuously.
Our "Die kleinen Hüttenbären" ("Steel Mill Bear Cubs") 1 and 2 children's' day centres enable all employees and their dependants to combine work and family life with each other more easily.
Dillinger promotes and supports a broad range of leisure and sporting activities, including tennis, soccer, dragon boating, nordic walking, table-tennis, and the "Fitte Hütte" ("Fit Steel Mill") athletics group. The annual inter-company mini-marathon in Dillingen has now evolved into a major local sporting event, for which we have frequently entered the largest team.
We regularly hold campaign days and campaign weeks focussing on health. Here, our employees get new ideas, tips and inspiration for healthy diets, exercise, and much, much more.
